Listed below is a recap of the items discussed at our last Chapter
meeting:
- Meeting was opened by President Bruce Tyler introducing today's guest speaker as follows:
Pamela Muldoon, with Action Coach business coaching, who presented "And the Oscar Goes to --- 3
steps to directing Award Winning Employees". One hour of PHR/SPHR recertification credit will be
available for those individuals attending.
- The following agenda items were discussed in the business
portion of meeting:
- A motion was made and passed to accept the December meeting minutes.
- A motion was made and passed to accept the Treasurer's CAP Report sent to members.
- Bruce reported that the Chapter's web page has an updated training schedule posted.
- Discussion was held regarding the Chapter's CAP Report. Bruce advised that he has now
completed the report. It appears we are eligible to receive a Superior Merit Award for the Chapter.
- Discussion was held regarding having the Chapter pay the annual membership dues for members
who are currently unemployed. Bruce advised that under CAPS, the Chapter could earn points if this
were done and asked if the Chapter should pay the 2008 annual dues for Jill Schaefbauer. A motion
was made and passed that we pay her 2008 dues.
- Bruce thanked Stacie Sayre and Graco for hosting today's meeting. We will also need to find
an alternative location for our March and April meetings.
- Bruce opened the meeting up to general questions. Nicci Boswell inquired if anyone had a
Leadership Development Program.
- The question of what is the best date and time to hold our meeting was asked. Bruce will do
a survey to see what works best for members.
- Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 to be held at Connections in
Big Lake at 8:00 am. Our speaker will be Tammy Friederichs, with Friederichs & Thompson, P.A.,
presenting on Discrimination Mistakes.
- Legislative Update - No updates at this time.
