Meeting:	North Star SHRM Chapter Meeting
Date:	September 9, 2009 8:00 a.m.

Listed below is a recap of the items discussed at the last Chapter meeting:

A joint meeting with a luncheon and golf event was held with the St. Cloud Chapter. Members of each chapter introduced themselves. Laurie McIntosh, SHRM North Central Field Service Director presented: Ethical Issues in Human Resources. One hour of PHR/SPHR general recertification credit will be available for those individuals attending. The following agenda items were discussed in the business portion of meeting:

• Bruce explained to attendees that as NS SHRM is a 100% National Chapter, it allows us to tap into their national speaker program. However, as NS SHRM's membership does not have the required number of members to bring in a speaker, we join with the St. Cloud Chapter to meet the required attendance. Each chapter makes a donation to National SHRM Foundation. NS SHRM's donation today was $100.00.
  
  
• Bruce informed NS SHRM members that donations were being collected today for our basket to be raffled off at the State SHRM Conference to be held in October. If anyone has items to donate that were not brought in today, they should contact Jan Trushenski.
  
  
• Bruce reminded members that there would not be a regular October meeting due to the State Conference in Rochester on October 11th - 13th.
  
  
• Bruce introduced speaker Laurie McIntosh.
  
  
• Prize drawings were held.
  
  
• No additional items presented for discussions.
